Step 3.

Adding a page to your web site!

We need a name for our new page. And we need to put a link from our index page to our new page and back. Let's say that the name of our new page is page 2. The title is page2.html. We don't really need to make the new page here, but we will bring back our index page and show what the link to page 2 looks like. The link is the a href thing that you see added to our index page.

<html>
<head>
<title>index.html</title>
</head>
<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF">
<center><H1>Welcome To My Home Page!</H1></center><br>
<center><H2>This is my first web page!</H2></center><br>
<center><H3>This is really easy!</H3></center><br>
<center><a href="page2.html">Go to page 2.</a><br>
</body>
</html>

On your page 2, next to the bottom of the page, you would put the link back to your index page...

<a href="index.html">HOME</a>

You will notice that in the opening body above, is a color code...

<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF">
The #FFFFFF is the color code for white.

If you go to the bottom of my index page on my other site, below my navigation bar is a box with a link to my color chart in it. You can click on any color there then go to the top of the color chart and find the code for that color.
